The idea is that you learn the basics of Italian so that you can communicate to live this fantastic experience, go sightseeing and take the course in the company of people your age who share your same interests!
ART HISTORY TOURS The cultural program includes visits to famous museums, academies, monuments, churches, gardens and historic villas. All entrance fees and the guided tour with an Art History teacher are included in the price.
EXCURSIONS The program proposes classic itineraries to discover the fascinating mix of history, culture, art and landscape for which Italy is universally famous, and in particular Tuscany. All excursions are supervised by Linguaviva teachers. Transportation, guided tours, entrance fees are included in the price, meals are not included.
FOOD AND WINE During their stay in Florence, participants can have the possibility to discover the secrets of Italian cuisine and wine through two lessons in one of the most famous cooking schools in Florence. You will also enjoy lectures on culinary topics and a visit to a winery in Chianti.

During your stay in Florence you will have the opportunity to experience social and cultural life through a program of cultural and leisure activities organized by our School.
These usually include guided tours of the most important museums and galleries, lectures on various aspects of contemporary Italian culture and society, a selection of famous Italian films regularly shown at school, nights out for an aperitif in Florentine cafes fashion, walks through typical and interesting areas of Florence.
The program allows you to practice your Italian, expand your knowledge of Italian culture and have fun with your new friends.
It takes place with a team of teachers who will always be with you to help you improve your Italian and better understand the Italian way of life.
At the beginning of each course, you will be presented with the final program, which includes detailed information about each activity.
We're sure we'll have a memorable time together!
EXCURSIONS
During the weekends, usually on Saturdays, full-day excursions to the most famous Italian cities and famous sites are organized. During the weekdays, half-day tours are planned to places of interest near Florence and wine-producing estates. Siena and San Gimignano, Pisa, Rome, Venice, Verona, 5 Terre (by the sea), Chianti (visit a winery).
ART HISTORY VISITS
They are guided tours of the most important museums and galleries: Duomo, Accademia Gallery, Uffizi Gallery, Bargello, Santa Croce, Santa Maria Novella, The Medici Villas. There will always be a member of staff with you.
CONFERENCES
Various aspects of contemporary Italian culture and society are presented: Italian songs, Italian fashion, Italian cuisine, Italian wines, Italian gestures, Italian art, Italian opera.
FILMS
A selection of famous Italian films is regularly screened at the school.
FLORENCE BY NIGHT
Welcome and farewell dinners, musical events, disco and typical bars.
We have a wide variety of families hosting students, from young couples without children to single parents and older couples with children. Either way, you’ll be able to practice your Italian on a daily basis and experience the culture of Florence first-hand.
Half Board Option: breakfast and dinner, every day including weekends. It will be the same meal as the host family, and it is common to share a table during these meals.
Breakfast only option: you will be served a typical Italian breakfast every day of the week. This option does not include the use of the hosts’ kitchen to prepare other meals.
Use of the kitchen option: this is a self-catering solution, although living with a host family, you can buy what you want to prepare your own food.
Location: Homestays are located both in the city center and in the residential areas surrounding the center, at a maximum distance of 15 minutes by bus from the school.
Rooms: single or twin accommodation for couples traveling together.
Bathroom: Usually shared with the host family or other guests. You can request accommodation with a private bathroom.
Internet: Wi-Fi is available in most accommodations free of charge.
If you are a student under the age of 16, you can only book accommodation with a family with half board. If you are a student over 16 years of age, you can choose the type of accommodation you want between half board, use of the kitchen or just breakfast.
The family houses can be reserved for a minimum of 2 weeks.
The accommodation must be reserved from the Sunday before the start of the course, until the Saturday after its completion.
This self-catering accommodation option is perfect for you if you want to be more independent, rent a room in a shared flat with other students, but without a host to keep score.
• Location: Shared flats are centrally located, often just a short walk from the school.
• Rooms: private dormitory with single or double accommodation for students traveling together. The rooms are fully furnished.
• Bathroom: to share with other students in the apartment.
• Internet: Wi-Fi available in most apartments.
• Public services: heating, electricity and water are included in the price of accommodation.
• House linen: sheets and towels are provided free of charge.
For this option you must be at least 18 years old.
You can book this accommodation for a minimum of 2 weeks.
The accommodation must be reserved from the Sunday before the start of the course until the Saturday after its completion.
The perfect option if you are more independent and prefer more privacy. Have a small apartment or studio just for you. This accommodation is also available for couples or two friends traveling together.
We do not manage the apartments directly, but we have trusted real estate agencies specialized in accommodation for international students. More information will be given when making the reservation.
